Working out your dates…

How each date is worked out

  • RMAR: 30 business days after the end of each six-month period, which ends on your year end and six months before it.
  • Complaints return: until the end of 2026, on the same periods as the RMAR. From 2027, 30 business days after 30 June and 31 December for every firm.
  • Firm Details Attestation: 60 business days after your year end.
  • Consumer Duty board report: 31 July, the date of the first reports, which most firms have kept. Your board can set a different date.
  • REP008: 31 October, covering the year to 31 August. Only due if there's something to report.
  • Annual accounts: 9 months after your year end, for a private limited company that isn't filing its first accounts.
  • Corporation tax payment: 9 months and 1 day after your year end, unless you pay in quarterly instalments.
  • Company tax return (CT600): 12 months after your year end.

Business days and bank holidays

A business day is any day that isn't a Saturday, Sunday or bank holiday. The calculator counts from the day after the period ends and skips bank holidays in England and Wales, using the dates published on GOV.UK. Dates marked est. fall after the last published bank holidays, so a holiday announced later could move them a day or two.

Companies House and HMRC deadlines don't move for weekends or bank holidays. File early if one falls on a non-working day.

Deadlines the calculator can't date

These depend on a date only your firm has, so they aren't in the list above.

Questions

When is the RMAR due?

Within 30 business days of the end of each reporting period. Periods end on your accounting reference date and six months before it, so with a 31 March year end the RMAR is due in May and November.

When is the complaints return due from 2027?

From 1 January 2027 every firm reports complaints for January to June and July to December, each due within 30 business days, so in mid-August and mid-February.

When is the Firm Details Attestation due?

Within 60 business days of your accounting reference date, every year, even if nothing has changed.
