REP-CRIM annual financial crime report deadline

FCA · Annually · 60 business days after year end

The annual financial crime report (REP-CRIM) is due within 60 business days of your accounting reference date (SUP 16.23.7R). It covers the financial year ending on that date, and only the parts of your business that are subject to the Money Laundering Regulations.

Next due—

An estimate set on or before the deadline. Bank holidays can push the real date a few days later.

Who has to submit it

  • E-money institutions (SUP 16.15.5A)
  • Payment institutions, except those that only provide account information, payment initiation or money remittance and carry on no regulated activities (SUP 16.13.3-AA)
  • Banks, building societies and many other FCA firms listed in SUP 16.23.2R, including firms with total revenue of £5 million or more and certain permissions

Working out the date

Count 60 business days from your financial year end. That's at least 12 calendar weeks, so with a 31 March year end the report is due in late June.

Groups

A group can submit one report that covers all its firms, as long as it meets each firm's due date and lists every firm's reference number. Each firm stays responsible for its own report (SUP 16.23.5G).

If you submit late

A late or incomplete report costs a £100 administrative fee under SUP 16.3.14R.

Get reminded before it's due
